He called me 2 hours prior to the arrival to window to talk through my issue, provided cost for repairs based on description, and gave me the option to see if I could it resolve it on my own and let him know if the appointment should be kept or cancelled.

After a shoddy tune-up by A1 and having their tech tell me I needed somewhere between $1500-$3000 for a sturdy repair and replacing the springs, I decided to get a second opinion/quote from Precision Garage Door and I'm glad I did. Chuck came out, took one look at the door, and said I didn't need all that work. He also noted that with the tune-up they provided, they used the lowest quality materials to replace the rollers and didn't even grease the door. He replaced the rusted cable and the vertical supports with powdered, rust resistant supports as well as the opener connector to help keep the top of the door sturdy and not bowing outward. Saved me $500-$1000 minimum with the repair.

I am completely dissatisfied with the service. I had the seals changed on my garage to eliminate bugs entering. The original guy replace the seals and solve the problem. A few days later it appeared that one of the seals was broken. Another person was sent out onto resolve this issue and that is where the problem started. There now is a gap between the seals and bugs are able to enter.

We had a broken torsion spring. I called 4 different places and Precision was the only one that said they could come out that afternoon between noon and 4:00. They ended up calling and arriving early at 11:00. Technician was very professional and experienced. He took pictures of all areas of concern. He got the door open, I got the cars out safely. In addition to yhe torsion springs, he recommended new center and outer bearings along with new rollers. Things went very smoothly and door is operating great. The only negative comment is the cost of parts and service. Seemed extremely high, but they did get out to repair same day, in the morning. All parts do have a lifetime warranty, with only labor charges if anything they installed fails. Thanks for the fast professional service!

The communication with this company was horrible. Also their customer service was subpar and we were told different things and the manager was supposed to get back to us but still have not received a call even after the installation. They also left without installing the garage door opener, said they would comeback but it took them over a week to return and that was after I complained

The price to have torsion springs fixed on a 225 lb door was 818 dollars. The retail price of powdercoated 225 lb door rated torsion springs is roughly 200-300 dollars tops. Where is the other 500 dollars going on a 1.5 hour estimate and fix? Please share the price breakdown.
