As a Continuous Improvement item, the scheduled time for my appointment, the email and text I received the day before all confirm an arrival time between, 10: a.m. to 12: noon. This afternoon I was cleaning up my back yard of leaves and around the garage floor and driveway by blowing leaves and debris clear of the area. Unfortunately while doing that a leaf apparently blocked the garage sensor. When I closed the garage doors it didn't work. I immediately called Precision Garage Door, and they were able to schedule someone this, Friday, afternoon. Alex Williamson, my technician, came early and quickly identified the problem, and resolved it. I was pleased to pay for the service call this afternoon and still most of the evening ahead of me. Three years ago to the day my garage door spring failed, which another company replaced. Three years later another snapped spring. I decided to call another company and was on the schedule for a same day repair. Alex, the tech, did an inspection pointing out things that should have been replaced previously. Alex did an excellent job. He replaced the garage door opener. The new one cost quite a bit more than I expected, but then, everything does lately. He also replaced the rusted rails and the deteriorating rollers. He didn't try to sell me anything that was unneeded. He explained the remotes and vacation setting and showed me how to set them. Alex also kindly set the remote button that is part of my car. I'd never been able to get that to work before. Everything works smoothly. I would definitely recommend this company and this technician.

I had Alex come out and check out my garage door which was opening crooked to the right and sometimes hitting on upper door pulley. The door would stop and not open unless I tried it several times. Alex said there wasn't much he could do but said I could put some washers on the top roller to keep it from pulling to the side. He gave me the washers. After he left, I tried to put washers. I then noticed the top support bracket screw had ripped through the sheet metal and wasn't supported. I drilled another hole, put in a new bolt and now it works. I think it's something they should have caught.
