After a shoddy tune-up by A1 and having their tech tell me I needed somewhere between $1500-$3000 for a sturdy repair and replacing the springs, I decided to get a second opinion/quote from Precision Garage Door and I'm glad I did. Chuck came out, took one look at the door, and said I didn't need all that work. He also noted that with the tune-up they provided, they used the lowest quality materials to replace the rollers and didn't even grease the door. He replaced the rusted cable and the vertical supports with powdered, rust resistant supports as well as the opener connector to help keep the top of the door sturdy and not bowing outward. Saved me $500-$1000 minimum with the repair.

The only thing I have to say is I was charged 49.00 to tell me that they wouldn’t repair my door and tried to upsell a conversion kit for 2498.00 dollars. I don’t recommend this company

Chuck was business like and very nice. He presented my options and gave me a review of my situation. I did not ask for an estimate of charges before a temporary fix as I needed help, was glad to have a reputable service man here and felt confident that he would fix the immediate problem. The price was, I think reasonable, but more than I expected. I now have a garage door that works well with a 1 year warranty. Our opener and several parts of the garage door were replaced in December. We submitted a review for that but both remote controls quit working within a couple of days of each other in July so we called for a technician. He came the same day we called. After checking everything, he agreed that there didn't appear to be a reason for the remotes to quit working so he reprogrammed the unit and tested everything thoroughly and showed me how to reprogram it. He was kind, thorough, and efficient.

Do your homework and check around before hiring them. Sure, they have a 24-hour line and will get out there. But, once they have you on the hook for the trip charge, they’ll charged twice as much as the next company. Sure enough, when I asked another company for a rough estimate on cost, he said it would be half the price of what was charged. I should have done my homework first.

Had new springs installed. Communication was great - I was given a heads up when the technician was on his way. He arrived on time and quickly installed the springs. He did have a little trouble getting my 'old' opener to work correctly, but now my door works better than ever! It's only been one day, but so far the workmanship appears to be excellent. My only complaint was the cost, which I thought was exorbitant. I don't know for sure if the cost is comparable with other companies, I didn't have time to shop around. I did call one other company, but the woman who answered the phone could barely speak English so I hung up on her - Buy American! Overall Precision did a great job!

Chuck Nichols and the gentleman he was training arrived early which was nice. They were very thorough with diagnosing the issue. Let me know what was going on and what it would cost. They completed the work in a timely manner. Would definitely use Precision again if I have any issues.

I am pleased with Precision Garage Door response to my call for service. The repair man, Chuck was on time, maybe a few minutes early which is a big plus in my estimation.
