I did not ask for an estimate of charges before a temporary fix as I needed help, was glad to have a reputable service man here and felt confident that he would fix the immediate problem. The price was, I think reasonable, but more than I expected. I now have a garage door that works well with a 1 year warranty. Do your homework and check around before hiring them. Sure, they have a 24-hour line and will get out there. But, once they have you on the hook for the trip charge, they’ll charged twice as much as the next company. Sure enough, when I asked another company for a rough estimate on cost, he said it would be half the price of what was charged. I should have done my homework first.

Precision Garage Door installed 4 new garage doors on our home 2 years ago and did a fantastic job. The doors and openers work great and the design of the doors themselves fit perfectly with our house. Today, they came out for a regular maintenance visit and thoroughly checked all the doors, adjusted and lubricated them as necessary, and confirmed that everything still works great. The installers and maintenance technicians are professional, knowledgable, courteous, and on-time. We bought our house a few years ago, and we definitely noticed that our garage door motor and the parts along with it were very very old. Today, one of the springs broke and I chose Precision Garage Door Twin Cities because of their ability to book online, and they had availability day of! After booking my appointment, I was contacted by one of their technicians, Adam, and was able to let him know what happened and how we would also want a new garage door opener as well as the spring repair, and he was out at our house in a very timely manner. He looked at what the issue was and provided multiple quotes for the work that was needed to be done with replacing springs/bearings/cables/rollers, and explained it all to me so that I understood. He got right to work and finished within an hour and a half. I was amazed with the quality of work and our new garage door opener! It made this process stress free and now we have a quiet, up to date and reliable garage door!

Our technician was Chad M. He called before he came, was running ahead of schedule and would it be convenient for him to stop by in five minutes. It was. When he arrived, we explained our issues with the operation of the garage door. He listened intently and explained what he was going to do, then provide an estimate and explain our options. We opted to upgrade a few items for safety reasons and then Chad went about his business of completing the agreed upon repairs. Very happy with the entire process from start to finish. My garage door camper broke on a Sunday afternoon so I did a Google search and decided to call Precision Garage Door. They answered promptly on a Sunday afternoon and scheduled an appointment 1st thing Monday morning. The technician was extremely knowledgeable and said I could fix the door or look into a new door due to rust issues. I opted for the new door option. The technician was super helpful and didn't try to upsell anything to me. The process was super smooth.

We accidentally backed into our garage door and the bottom panel popped off its track, called a different company (A1 garage) they said we needed a new garage door within the first minute of looking at it and that they couldn’t repair it, all it was high pressure sales tactics I had a bad feeling that I that I called the wrong company and then called Precision Garage Door they came out in about an hour and they were able to repair what had happened and we saved thousands of dollars -Chuck was our technician and was great. Our spring broke this morning and Adam had it fixed by mid afternoon. He was very personable and competetent. He changed cables under our warranty but also told me it was the wrong size springs installed by a previous company that caused the cables to deteriorate early. I contacted a technician to replace a broken torsion spring and extension spring on my garage door. After inspection, I was quoted $4,000 for repair and over $5,000 for a full door replacement with a 3–4 week wait. Due to extreme cold and pressure at the time, I signed the contract. Shortly after the technicians left, I attempted to cancel. However, no one could provide the names of the technicians who came to my home. I was told someone would call me back within 24 hours. I called more than ten times using different phone numbers with no response and also visited the Eden Prairie office, which was closed. I am very disappointed with the company’s lack of communication and business practices.
