I ended up not using them. I called the day of my appointment to get some more information on the price of my broken spring replacement. The person on the phone stated springs replacement starts at $260 and goes up from there. I kept my appointment thinking it would be a bit more for both springs but never expected almost $900 when the guy showed up. Cost me a $49 trip charge. Seems like a revenue stream for them to tell people a lower price on the phone. Just be aware of this.

I contacted Precision Garage Door yesterday afternoon. Alex from Precision Garage Door came first thing this morning. Inspected our doors, provided an estimate in advance of the work. A broken spring prevented the door from raising. He replaced the spring on that and another door in under 2 hours. Speedy, responsive, fair price, good work and friendly. A very good service!

Fantastic experience. They came out fast to help me make sure I could get my car out to get my daughter from daycare. The garage works great but the service was what made the experience. He helped a 7 month pregnant women shovel much too heavy snow that fell the night before at the bottom of the driveway while my husband was gone without me even asking! Above and beyond service! They have lifelong customers!

After our garage door refused to lift, we detected a broken spring and a wheel that had jumped the track. A quick call was made to Precision Garage Door (who we have used before). They offered an appointment time for the next morning, first thing. That morning I received a text at 8:10am that the technician was on his way. Upon arrival, Gregg inspected the entire door and tracks. The inspection revealed that part of the track had worked itself loose, the wheels on our 10+ year old door were rusting and worn out, and of course the spring was shot. Gregg provided an estimate on the spot and, after approval, completed all the work in about an hour. The door is now quiet and operating perfectly. Gregg was professional and a skilled technician. It was a pleasure working with him and Precision Garage Door. When garage door service is needed, they are and will continue be our first call.

Great service. Very prompt in scheduling and arrived in great time. I didn't have to spend the whole window waiting around wondering if they were coming. And the work was great! Jonathan did a full analysis of the whole system to make sure the actual problem was identified and then gave me a full break down and multiple options of what he could do to fix the problem and explained everything in depth to ensure I could make the best decision for my home. The work itself was great and before he left I got a full explanation of all of the features and how to take care of it to make sure it would keep working great.

The technician was at my house within a half an hour after my call. He was very friendly and able to solve the problem as well as to perform an inspection of the hardware and electricals within a short period of.time. It was definitely a positive experience and I will definitely call Precision next time I have a problem with my garage doors.

The lady who took my call and scheduled the appointment was not even close to the bid when the technician arrived. I even said so worst case it would cost this amount and she said yes. It was almost three times the cost. Turns out she quoted me one spring and the cheapest spring. I asked if they would need to replace both she said no. My technician said he would only do both. Then I was stuck paying $85 service call for them to do nothing or three times the initial quoted cost. I would shop around and choose a company that does not lie to you to get the technician out there. Or plan on whatever they quote you it will be triple the cost.
We receive this feedback with thanks. It is always good to hear from our customers. We are sorry your expectations were not met. We realize the importance of over-the-phone price estimation, however it is difficult to diagnose or know the safety and size requirements of each garage door issue before arriving on-site. We try to generalize, which does not always work out and in this case it seems the latter. Our team takes these comments seriously and we have heard you. My experience with Precision Door was Excellent. Mike, our technician, was on time and kept us informed of his arrival. The work was done in a professional manner after a review of our situation and what level of materials we would prefer. The work was completed in less than 45 minutes and our new garage door system works better than it was new. I would certainly recommend Precision Door to others who need repairs.

It went well. My problem required no parts to fix just labor and knowledge. The young man was personable and with some advice over the phone he was able to re-program the unit and it started to work as it should. I did not know these units could be so touchy in terms of keeping everything oiled etc. When people ask about garage doors I say talk to Precision because they don't just install, they back up their work when needed.
