We had two of two springs break. We had used Precision Garage Door Service once before and were very happy, so we did not hesitate to call them again. They came out the next day and inspected and took pictures of the damage and what they recommended for the door. In the end we needed more than just springs, which I expected, and gave us a quote that worked. Now we have a lifetime warranty on much of what they did and found out that warranty is transferable. They set up the work for the next day and they were actually early and got the job done quickly. We are very pleased with the work and the three men who did the job. Highly recommend PGDS.

Do your homework and check around before hiring them. Sure, they have a 24-hour line and will get out there. But, once they have you on the hook for the trip charge, they’ll charged twice as much as the next company. Sure enough, when I asked another company for a rough estimate on cost, he said it would be half the price of what was charged. I should have done my homework first.

I called and set up appointment to replace a broken spring. After the service person said hello, he said I see you are looking to replace your garage doors. I advised him all I wanted was to have the spring replaced. The person who took my appointment quoted $250 to $300 for the replacement of the spring on one door. Since they were coming out I also wanted the spring replaced on the other door. So $500 to $600 for the job. When the service person was done reviewing the doors he said the price with military discount for all of the things that needed to be done was $3,995. My door has only one spring. He said doors need two springs to be safe. Wow, single doors only need one spring and the other items he said I needed did not need to be replaced. I have been in the garage door industry for 40 years and this is the worst transaction I have ever seen!

We were honestly left with more questions than answers. They left, the garage door still didn’t work and they charged us $300. Didn’t take anything off until I asked. All they attempted to do was sell us a new garage door and opener. Pretty disappointed

Precision Garage Door installed 4 new garage doors on our home 2 years ago and did a fantastic job. The doors and openers work great and the design of the doors themselves fit perfectly with our house. Today, they came out for a regular maintenance visit and thoroughly checked all the doors, adjusted and lubricated them as necessary, and confirmed that everything still works great. The installers and maintenance technicians are professional, knowledgable, courteous, and on-time. The communication from the company is great and it's easy to schedule and track the technicians when they're on the way. I would highly recommend Precision Garage Door Twin Cities.

Do your homework before calling them. I wish I had, because I got taken for a sucker. Yes, they were very responsive. They had a 24-hour line to call, and I could schedule an appointment within a day. The tech was very friendly, arrived on time, and got the work done. But they are VERY expensive. I didn't know in the moment, so I said okay. I did some checking and confirmed that another company I called would have done the same project for less than HALF the cost. And if you look through the reviews, you'll see that others report the same thing.

It was very easy to make a convenient appointment for the next day. The technician, Chad, was personable, professional, and experienced. He installed a new opener, controller, key pad and safety sensors. The quality of his work is a definite improvement compared to the previous installation. He also adjusted the torsion of the coil springs to provide smoother operation.

Quote over phone for spring repair was around 2-400 $ comes out and quoted 1,000$. I declined still charged 85$ for the 2 mins to quote the job. UPDATE* i had another company come out and rebalance my springs for 150 $... Also I never worked with their internal team with this issue so I don't know why they're lying in the reply
