Our LED lights to our garage door were really dim so we contacted Precision Garage Door. A technician came out to assess the lights and it was decided to replace the whole unit at no extra cost to us. I will always di business with Percision when it comes to our garage and opener. Precision Garage Door Service is the best! We purchased our garage door years ago and it came with a lifetime warranty. I was skeptical of this warranty, but thought I would take a chance. I’m so glad I did! Due to the weight of the door, the spring has broken a few times and they come out right away to fix it. It is easy to make appointments online. Mike is amazing; he has been out the last two times and is so friendly and knowledgeable. He really looks out for the customer, as does Precision! Today, there were repairs done under the warranty that were not necessary needed right now, but Mike called and said why wait for it to break when we can fix it now. They agreed and approved the repairs!

This afternoon I was cleaning up my back yard of leaves and around the garage floor and driveway by blowing leaves and debris clear of the area. Unfortunately while doing that a leaf apparently blocked the garage sensor. When I closed the garage doors it didn't work. I immediately called Precision Garage Door, and they were able to schedule someone this, Friday, afternoon. Alex Williamson, my technician, came early and quickly identified the problem, and resolved it. I was pleased to pay for the service call this afternoon and still most of the evening ahead of me. Alex did an excellent job, and I will happily recommend Precision Garage Door of Mpls and St. Paul, for any further service requirements. Thank you very much.

Disappointed in my appointment today especially since Garage Logic highly recommends Precision Garage Door. I noted online, during reserving the service call, that I had a broken spring and the cost presented for the repair was 3 times higher than another reputable garage repair company. When I said I didn’t want the repair I was charged $85 for a service call to tell me my spring was broke which I noted in my online reservation and he tried to upsell me on a new door. To top it off, the technician was on his phone for half the time he was here. I would not recommend Precision Garage Door.

We did want to offer some clarification. When our technician learned you were concerned about the initial estimate, he provided a second option at roughly one-third of the original cost. This option would have addressed your primary issue and ensured the door was safe and functional, though it would not have resolved some of the additional concerns he noted during his inspection. Our technician’s goal was simply to make sure your door was safe and reliable. He also shared that the conversation about replacing the door began when you asked about the rust that was present. He mentioned general replacement options only in response to your question, and no estimate for a new door was ever created—so there was no intent or effort to pressure you into an upsell. We genuinely value your feedback, and we appreciate the opportunity to clarify. If there’s anything we can do to help make this right or address any remaining concerns, please feel free to reach out to us directly. Our GM has reached out to discuss as well, but has not received a return call, please reach out when you have a moment. Thank you!

Contacted precision door to have them put weatherstripping on the bottom of my garage door. While inspecting the garage door, they noticed the torsion cables were rusted and the rollers need to replacing. They were able to complete the repairs and install the weather stripping. Alex was very knowledgeable, friendly and professional. Would highly recommend.
