I chose to go with Precision based on their overall customer satisfaction ratings. Unfortunately, they did not meet our service expectations several times throughout our installation experience. 1. Our garage door was installed 3/4” crooked with the surrounding garage trim and floor. This “offset” was further highlighted by the windows near the top of the door and a black weather seal at the bottom of a white garage door - leaving a visible gap. I was told the door was installed “level” but the garage floor was not level. Thie installation team did not discuss or bring this to our attention until the installation was completed. It was also frustrating because our prior garage door was not crooked and did not have a visible opening/gap between the weather seal and the garage floor. 2. I called customer service the same day after installation was completed and shared our concerns. The customer service representative rudely replied “it is not our fault your garage floor is not level”. I asked to speak to a manager and she said I would get a call back that day. I did not get my call returned. I called again the next day, and was later called back by a quality assurance manager. He was very service oriented over the phone, and we scheduled an appointment for the next week to have someone come out and assess the installation and see if there were any options to improve the 3/4” offset. 3. The quality assurance technician was scheduled to arrive today between 8-9am. He did not show up so I called at 9:15am to see if he was still coming (as we had another appointment we needed to leave for by 9:45am). He said there was confusion and miscommunication in the office but was on his way. No one called to say he was going to be late or was still coming. He arrived at 9:40am (which caused us to be late for our other appointment). He was able to adjust the cables to correct most of the offset. We discussed replacing the black weather seal with a grey weather seal to minimize the appearance of the offset that remained. He called his manager to see if he could get approval to do so without a charge. It was determined that it was an “aesthetic appearance correction” and therefore would cost us $241 to replace it. After spending $3230 to have a garage door installed at a slant, I was not pleased to hear that I could have the “aesthetic appearance” issue addressed for another $241. The technician also said that if I wanted it done it would require another appointment as he would otherwise be late for his 10:00am appointment (although being late to our appointment did not seem to be as concerning). Bottom line, I had high expectations for stellar service given their reviews. I am more than willing to pay more to receive quality service. I am trying to be fair in rating them 2 out of 5 stars. Given our experience, I would not recommend Precision and have to believe for the price you can get a better experience and result elsewhere.

Our garage door got damaged by getting hit by a vehicle. Mike came over within 2 hours of my phone call and aligned the door so we could use it manually. We ordered a new garage door and opener that took about 2 weeks to get. Zac and Rafael came over to install the new door and opener within 2.5 hours, wow! The entire precision door team was superb! Amazing service! Came out same day and fixed everything within a couple hours. My technician, Adam Mitchell, did an amazing job explaining each step to me. He also did a safety inspection upon arrival and went over everything and the costs before beginning so I was able to make a decision that made the most sense fiscally for me without pressuring me in any direction. Great service all around! I purchased a new opener, surge protector, belt rail, springs, bearing, and rollers. Everything is working great! As a side note - I really loved being able to schedule the service online and that I received updates via text. Very user-friendly for those of us who hate talking on the phone!

Johnathan was a great guy to deal with. I mean this 100% positively, he's a garage door geek. He not only allowed me, he welcomed me to watch him repair my broken spring. I love watching people,do things that I can't do. My garage is tough because it's very tight, and he was excited because it wasn't the normal easy job. I thought that was sorta cool. I approach my work the same way. If all the guys here have that same approach, these are the guys I would go with.

Excellent and proficient service! Jonathon was right on time, listened to my description of what wasn't working, performed several tests on the motor, and recommended several fixes. I opted for a replacement of the whole motor and belt drive. He also commented favorably on the installation of the door (a different company) stating that it was excellent, professional work. And a very fair price for everything which he completed in less than an hour! Amazing and much appreciated.

We had two new overhead doors installed 5/4/23 and the installer, Donny, was outstanding! He was efficient in dismantling the old doors, which were quite heavy, and then preparing the openings for the new doors. He was also efficient during installation taking less time than we expected. But more importantly, the doors worked to perfection after his hard work. Zero problems after several days of use. He advised on the proper maintenance and exhibited his expertise throughout. We are glad that Donny was our installer. And by the way, two different neighbors walked over in the following couple days and asked to see what the garage interior looked like from the inside. We had windows installed on the new doors. The daylight is wonderful with no need to turn on lights for most things. The neighbors were impressed with the quality of the doors and of the expert installation. Good job Precision, good job by Donny! Jim J
