The large spring on our garage door broke. Precision was able to come the next afternoon and fix it. The two service men were very polite and professional. They were very thorough and explained everything. They were very efficient and had the repairs done in no time. I definitely would recommend them to others.

Heard of your company on Garage Logic, many times. Came home at lunch Monday and garage wouldn’t open. Looked and saw spring was broken and door immobile. Called and setup appointment for Tuesday. Alex arrived right on schedule, assessed the situation, gave an estimate which I approved and went to work. Within an hour Alex had completed the job, replacing the springs, bearings and cables. All works well and the service was excellent.

Had new springs installed. Communication was great - I was given a heads up when the technician was on his way. He arrived on time and quickly installed the springs. He did have a little trouble getting my 'old' opener to work correctly, but now my door works better than ever! It's only been one day, but so far the workmanship appears to be excellent. My only complaint was the cost, which I thought was exorbitant. I don't know for sure if the cost is comparable with other companies, I didn't have time to shop around. I did call one other company, but the woman who answered the phone could barely speak English so I hung up on her - Buy American! Overall Precision did a great job!

My garage door was not opening or shutting, I could see and hear there was power. First tech came out, 10 min later he tells me “it was the sensor, wasn’t aligned right”. Ok, fast forward 12 hours, I try to leave for work and the garage opens a few inches and stops and blinks at me- I call precision back and scheduled the next visit 48 hours later. 2 techs show up on 5/7/26, they tell me “when the newer motor was placed, they didn’t replace the sensors”, so one of them replaced it- the new sensors were left on the wall by the garage by the previous owners. It worked for 1 or 2 full open/shut cycles and back to the sensor issue by the next day. I’m tired of calling, I’ve paid hundreds of dollars at this point, for nothing. I will now wait for a phone call back to reschedule another visit. I am by no means handy in the garage but I was able to measure to see that the sensors aren’t lined up. This has wasted money and time, having to be home when they arrive. Can someone just make the adjustment and fix it? 5/14/26 Follow up- Technician Pat B came back out. He came out on the first visit also, he was short with me and didn’t actually look at the sensors. I told him the same thing as initial visit early May, garage door doesn’t open or close reliably, it will open 2 inches at times or 1/2 way and other times it will open and shut fully. I stayed in the garage during this visit so I could see what he’s doing. The blinker on the motor would flash different codes, he was looking up the code on his phone when I told him the big white sticker on the motor tells me what the codes mean. He didn’t listen to me, talked over me, so I got on the ladder so I could take this picture to show him. He told me the sensor eyes don’t need to be exact and he didn’t know what the problem was (and it’s not the sensors any longer) but said the fix will be expensive. Because the motor is older 7/2013 he said to just replace it. The truth is, I might need to replace it but the fact that he flat out said he didn’t know what was wrong, I asked “if you don’t know what’s wrong- how can you suggest replacing it all?” I asked if he had a diagnostic kit to figure out what the actual issue was. He did not. If you’re a woman reading this, I would not recommend him coming to your house, he doesn’t listen to you, interrupts you and acted like he truly doesn’t care. I asked him to leave and I will not be giving precision any further business. I called Black Hawk garage out of Baldwin to come out and assess the problem, as they were recommended by neighbors. Update 5/14/26 Brent from Black Hawk garage came out. Turns out the problem was the outlet that the garage motor was plugged into. Had nothing to do with the actual garage door or opener. It's now working beautifully and I didn't have to replace anything. I would never recommend Precision to anyone I know. Teach the techs the basics, guys. Thank you Brent! Update 6/1- changed from a 1 star to a 3 star due to customer service and honesty. They refunded the money I had paid.

I initially thought the price estimate was high but knowing the precision hires high quality individuals and cares about their employees made the extra price worth it. Job well done!
