Lucky for us that Precision services 7 days a week, because our inopportune need happened on Saturday of Memorial weekend when my husband in haste backed our SUV out of the garage with the rear door open! Within a few hours, Precision sent a technician to fix the old wooden garage door. Jon, the technician, obviously had the experience and skill needed to deal not only with the off kilter door and disconnected cable, but also the bent screw plate on one side, needing to saw off at least one bolt for replacement. He tightened all bolts and screws throughout the door, showing me where they were loose from years of use, and politely pointed out the deteriorating wood around the screws from moisture and time. With obvious attention to detail, checking and re-checking to ensure that the repair was done right, Jon's experience with a variety of doors and issues was obvious in that he was able to analyze and get right to the fix. He also came prepared with a variety of springs and nuts and bolts, so there was no returning to the shop for parts. Jon also handled my queries about replacement door features, so I feel I understand the advantage of the newer doors. It was re-assuring to have not only a half hour advance call before the technician's arrival, but also a text announcing his enroute. I also received a before-arrival email showing me the technician's photo with a little bio, which was a re-assurance of the right person's arrival. The charge was reasonable, and there was no extra weekend charge. Before I called the company, I read several positive reviews about them from others. This helped me make the call. I also definitely would recommend this company for reliability & service.

Excellent service, prompt and polite. Devon didn't waste time, was efficient in his work and ensured everything was working properly when finished. Rudy assisted as needed mentoring Devon with tricks of the trade. The door was fixed and working in about an hour. We'll use Precision Garage Door again.

All aspects of working with the company was first rate. Scheduling was very easy and I was given what the standard costs of parts and repairs would be so that I had an idea of what the repair might cost. The technician, Devon, who did the repair, emailed ahead of arriving (at the beginning of the time window we were given) and did a really good job of explaining everything that he said would need to be repaired before providing the detailed quote. He finished the work very quickly and took time to answer all the questions I had about both what might have caused the parts that he replaced to fail and what the warranty is on the parts he installed. I noticed that the replacement cables were heavier gauge than those they replaced and the torsion spring was powder coated, unlike the original, so I think the parts were better than what we had before. Jason was great however it would of cost me $736 for me to replace my unit so I paid the service fee and went down to Menards and paid $40 and replaced it my self. Recommend calling if you are only willing to buy there parts.

Jake, The quick set systems is a do it yourself homeowner version of a torsion system and we do not service or maintain them. The only option we have to repair is to convert the quick set to a conventional torsion system which replaces all of the lifting and moving parts, essentially making the door work like new.

Jon Holton arrived when he promised, provided a detailed estimate and asked for permission before doing any work. He not only fixed our non-functioning door but adjusted it so that it is quieter than when we bought our home. He also advised us how to do simple maintenance that will help keep our door working quietly. I am recommending Precision Door Service to all my friends and neighbors.

Sorry, nothing was wrong with the door, what ever I heard yesterday of course was not there today, so Rudy oiled all the wheels checked everything over to make sure nothing was missed, replaced a light bulb which was burned out. The experience was pleasant, learned a little bit more about the openers the connection between the installed one in the garage and inside the house, and the portable once from the cars which I thought needed new batteries and probably did not. Everything is working fine. I will give it a 5 Ursula
