Wow! We called Precision in the morning and Eric arrived by 2:00 that afternoon. Eric quickly and confidently diagnosed the problem and along with the repair, suggested tune up items. All work was completed professionally and cheerfully. Eric also explained what he needed to do and was quite neat. We. Will use Precision if the need ever arises again!

After I choose what he should do, he promptly got the job done. Not only did he fix the broken cable and replace a rusty hinge, the garage door sounds better opening and closing than before. Nothing but good things to say about the service and attention to detail provided by Devon from Precision Door MN. Arrived promptly, diagnosed the problem quickly and gave us a quote that given the circumstances seemed more than reasonable to me. I’ve read other reviews about the cost of parts that can be found online vs what the various garage door companies charge, but there is no way I could have bought those parts myself and done what Devon did to resolve the issue we had and in the time he did. I’m totally confident the charge for parts and expertise that Precision Door brought to the table were well worth the call. I have a much better working door system than anything I could have done myself. Update: unfortunately I need to modify my review of this company and I’m afraid it’s not good. The same problem came back within a few days so we had them back out. They came right away and appeared to do some more adjustments and it worked for about 3 weeks. This time the problem happened on a Saturday and we called them again, and that’s when we found out that they may take after hours calls, but don’t do emergency service. We couldn’t talk to a manager, there was no one to help, had to wait until Monday to find out if we could get help. We called another company, they came out ( emergency pricing of course) and that’s when we found out what the real problem was. Door is working perfectly fine for 8 months. Instead of the 400.00 we were originally charged we ended up paying another 500 for the emergency work and found out that Precision Door obviously doesn’t have the experience, nor the customer service capabilities to handle customers who put their trust in them. Never heard a word from them about our emergency call and certainly can no longer endorse their service to anyone else, except to say go with a local company, not a franchise operation such as this.

Not an emergency by any means, but they still were able to send a technician out to us on the same day and he actually arrived within an hour of my phone call! Eli was very helpful and showed me what the problem was and how to fix it in the future. It was an easy fix, but he was very nice about it!
