UPDATE: I originally gave 3 stars because of some pricing issues that I felt were misrepresented by the person on the phone when I asked about how they charge for their services. I received a call from customer support very quickly; they seemed to genuinely take my feedback seriously, and even refunded some of the charges that weren't clearly explained. Definitely changed my mind, so I'm updating to 5 stars. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Summary: Great technician. Great installation. Poor pricing clarity. Very overpriced parts. The technician, Colton, was excellent. He did a great a job with the installation, and was very helpful walking me through each step of the repair he was going to perform. His original quote on the springs I needed was one size too small, so the final bill was $14 more than he quoted; not a big deal there, though. 5-star service from him overall. I am deducting one star for the presentation of the pricing model from the company, however. When I called to get an idea of what they charge, they said "there's a $75 installation fee, but this is waived with the repair." While this is technically true, they charge a $65 "lube and tune" fee, which wasn't mentioned on the phone. They charged another $36 for a small bearing, which also wasn't mentioned on the phone. No one likes unexpected charges, especially when things are presented with the illusion of "no installation fee." I am deducting one more star for the price of their parts. The springs I got are rated at 15,000 cycles, and cost me $205 each. Had I ordered the same sized springs from somewhere like Lowes or Home Depot, they cost about $45 each. I assumed there would be some price markup to offset their "free installation," but 4x markup is extreme. Especially considering they charged me for installation in a roundabout way anyway. Overall I would say my experience was "just okay." I acknowledge that the job was done well, but next time I'll shop around for someone with more competitive prices.

We are not able to diagnose any problems over the phone, so it is difficult to get exact pricing before our safety inspection of your door and opener, however to help with that our technicians do create detailed estimates which are presented and agreed upon before starting any work. Our prices do include installation by a Professionally Trained technician and while we are not the least expensive provider in the area, we are also not the highest. We do believe we offer the best products with the best warranties in the industry and will be here to honor our work. A spring had broken on my garage door so I called Precision. They sent out Colton promptly. Colton performed the garage door repair with efficiency and professionalism.

Called up Precision garage door to fix my opener. Their site states that fixing a door/opener is considered a priority rather than replacement. This why I called them initially. I also checked online and parts for the repair would cost $27 if I did it myself. Instead the technician shows up, states the gear is sheered off and the only option is to do a full replacement of the opener at a cost of $500. I declined the proposal and was charged $75 for this assessment. Ordered the parts online and will fix the opener myself. Update - The owner of Precision garage door called me up to better understand my customer experience. We chatted and he understood my concerns. I made some suggestions as well to improve future customer interactions. He also committed to refunding the $75 assessment fee. As a result of our conversation, I'm raising my rating from one to 3 stars.

A plow truck hit our garage trapping our car inside. The door needed to be removed so we could get our car out and a new one installed after the garage was repaired. This company refused to come out because according to the girl on the phone Deja, they would only do so if we were installing a new door, which obviously can’t be done until the garage is fixed. Three days later and we’re still trying to get our car out.

I called Precision Door Service given on your site you stressed the fact that fixing a door can be done rather than a full replacement. When the technician got here, the response was the gear is sheered off so the entire garage door opener needs to be replaced. No consideration to even fix the opener was presented. The cost of replacing the opener was quoted at $500 dollars which is ridiculous. And I get charged $75 for the technicians to show up and give me this proposal. I've since purchased the replacement parts for the opener at a cost of $27 and will fix it myself.

Prompt response when we called after our garage door springs snapped in single digit temperatures. We called at 11am and door was repaired by 2pm. Colton, the tech that pulled into the driveway, was friendly and business like. Efficient. Explained the costs on spring replacement and also replaced our rusty cables and bottom bracket which we knew were also going bad. The truck was marked and we appreciated getting an email with the tech's name, photo and background ahead of time. All very reassuring. The company seems to spend a great deal of effort on customer service. A-OK!

Because of COVIDVIRUS the lead time was longer then expected. I knew that would be the situation when I placed my order. The wait was certainly worth it. The two installers arrived on time. They called ½ hour prior to let me know they were on their way. We were in the middle of a huge snow storm but the install was perfect! Precision Door is an upstanding business to work with and I highly recommend them to anyone who may be thinking about a new garage door. Thank you Josh and Erik(?) for a job well done.

I choose your company because someone told me that you guys were reputable. From the inception of the call through the end of the service appointment, everything went perfectly. The original contact that I had on the phone with the agent was done very professionally. She was patient she listened to my concerns, she was very calm and she booked up an appointment for me as early as she could. I received a call from Jonathan the next day when he was on his way. He was on time he was very cordial, he was extremely knowledgeable, he showed me that I could trust him. The work he performed was satisfactory to me and it was done in a timely manner. After completion he explained to me how to operate the openers, the wall-mounted opener, and went through all the different system with me. I was impressed. I ask him to leave his business card because next time I have a problem, I want him to come and take care of it for me. Having employees like Jonathan will make your company more and more prosperous. I want to thank you for sending him over. BTW : he replaced the motor and drive chain, he tuned up all the springs, he added an outside keypad, and installed the safety lights on the door frames.

The service was very prompt and professional. The technicians knew their stuff and finished the job quickly. The only objection was that the job was extremely expensive. $930 and it took them 45 minutes to complete. I do understand that there is a cost for quick good work and with a shortage of parts at this time it is necessary to pay up.
