Ripoff company that grossly overcharges for poor quality work. I have no clue how they are so highly rated on here, but I regret choosing them. Our garage door broke, so Precision came out and repaired it to the tune of around $600. The price seemed excessive, but I figured it was worth it if the job was well done. That was not the case. Around a year later it broke again, so we had a technician from a different company (a small family business) come out to repair it for a fraction of what Precision charged. He explained that Precision's technician had done sloppy work and installed parts incorrectly, e.g. using old screws and old holes instead of using new screws and drilling new holes. He said a part that was incorrectly installed by Precision further damaged our door. I took a picture of the part (which was obviously damaged and warped) and sent it to Precision. I explained the situation and requested a partial refund for the poor work done by their company, especially since we had to pay someone else to fix their mistakes. After some back-and-forth, a service manager, Bret, came out to look at our door. He basically told my husband, "Tough luck, your door broke again because it's old and will need replacing soon anyway." No apology, no refund, no nothing. Just because our door is older doesn't mean we should have to pay $600 for work that doesn't hold up. You'd think a large company like this, which is large enough to advertise on TV, would at least throw us a bone to make up for their shoddy work. I hardly ever leave negative reviews, but we had a very poor experience with Precision. Very disappointed - will not use this company again. Run far away from this ripoff outfit and find a smaller, trustworthy business who stands by their work instead; save yourself money and hassle by avoiding Precision.

I chose to go with Precision based on their overall customer satisfaction ratings. Unfortunately, they did not meet our service expectations several times throughout our installation experience. 1. Our garage door was installed 3/4” crooked with the surrounding garage trim and floor. This “offset” was further highlighted by the windows near the top of the door and a black weather seal at the bottom of a white garage door - leaving a visible gap. I was told the door was installed “level” but the garage floor was not level. Thie installation team did not discuss or bring this to our attention until the installation was completed. It was also frustrating because our prior garage door was not crooked and did not have a visible opening/gap between the weather seal and the garage floor. 2. I called customer service the same day after installation was completed and shared our concerns. The customer service representative rudely replied “it is not our fault your garage floor is not level”. I asked to speak to a manager and she said I would get a call back that day. I did not get my call returned. I called again the next day, and was later called back by a quality assurance manager. He was very service oriented over the phone, and we scheduled an appointment for the next week to have someone come out and assess the installation and see if there were any options to improve the 3/4” offset. 3. The quality assurance technician was scheduled to arrive today between 8-9am. He did not show up so I called at 9:15am to see if he was still coming (as we had another appointment we needed to leave for by 9:45am). He said there was confusion and miscommunication in the office but was on his way. No one called to say he was going to be late or was still coming. He arrived at 9:40am (which caused us to be late for our other appointment). He was able to adjust the cables to correct most of the offset. We discussed replacing the black weather seal with a grey weather seal to minimize the appearance of the offset that remained. He called his manager to see if he could get approval to do so without a charge. It was determined that it was an “aesthetic appearance correction” and therefore would cost us $241 to replace it. After spending $3230 to have a garage door installed at a slant, I was not pleased to hear that I could have the “aesthetic appearance” issue addressed for another $241. The technician also said that if I wanted it done it would require another appointment as he would otherwise be late for his 10:00am appointment (although being late to our appointment did not seem to be as concerning). Bottom line, I had high expectations for stellar service given their reviews. I am more than willing to pay more to receive quality service. I am trying to be fair in rating them 2 out of 5 stars. Given our experience, I would not recommend Precision and have to believe for the price you can get a better experience and result elsewhere.

When the torsion spring on my roll back garage door snapped, Precision Garage Door was quick to respond. As I'm an engineer, I knew exactly what had happened and what the fix was. Jonathan showed up promptly, even though I did not need his explanation for what happened or what he was doing, he was extremely professional, he explained what he was doing and why. Everything he needed was stocked in his service truck. His estimated time to repair was equally spot on. I can't recommend Precision Garage Door enough!

Our garage door got damaged by getting hit by a vehicle. Mike came over within 2 hours of my phone call and aligned the door so we could use it manually. We ordered a new garage door and opener that took about 2 weeks to get. Zac and Rafael came over to install the new door and opener within 2.5 hours, wow! The entire precision door team was superb! Called and specifically asked for a quote over the phone. Had exact size and color of the springs i needed to repair the door. Was told they could give me a quote but then just ignored me tried to schedule someone to come out at a $85 service fee. Rude customer service over the phone.
Thank you for calling on us in your time of need. We are sorry that we were unable to complete the repair for you. We attempted to call you back to explain our process further, but were not successful. We are a home service company and do not sell our parts for retail; this is the reason we are unable to guarantee spring pricing over the phone. We come out for that service fee of $85, do a full inspection on your door and opener and measure the springs you need based on the weight of the door, not simply based on the spring in place before as there are many times that size is incorrect. Our service fee is waived with any repair. Again, I'm sorry this was not the solution you were looking for and we do appreciate hearing your feedback and will use it to ensure clear customer communication in the future.

My garage door spring broke after my wife left for work, leaving my no able to get out of the garage. I called Precision Garage Door and the were able to send a service tech out within the hour. The tech arrived early (Jonathan). He was able to get my door open so I could get my truck out. He then proceeded to assess the door. He not only identified the broken spring, but noticed that my door cables were frayed and rusted along with the worn main shaft bearings. He was able to make all the necessary repairs having all the items on his truck. He was extremely courteous and explained everything prior to the work. I would recommend Precision Garage Door for your service or new door needs!

Amazing service! Came out same day and fixed everything within a couple hours. My technician, Adam Mitchell, did an amazing job explaining each step to me. He also did a safety inspection upon arrival and went over everything and the costs before beginning so I was able to make a decision that made the most sense fiscally for me without pressuring me in any direction. Great service all around! I purchased a new opener, surge protector, belt rail, springs, bearing, and rollers. Everything is working great! As a side note - I really loved being able to schedule the service online and that I received updates via text. Very user-friendly for those of us who hate talking on the phone!

Johnathan was a great guy to deal with. I mean this 100% positively, he's a garage door geek. He not only allowed me, he welcomed me to watch him repair my broken spring. I love watching people,do things that I can't do. My garage is tough because it's very tight, and he was excited because it wasn't the normal easy job. I thought that was sorta cool. I approach my work the same way. If all the guys here have that same approach, these are the guys I would go with.

Excellent and proficient service! Jonathon was right on time, listened to my description of what wasn't working, performed several tests on the motor, and recommended several fixes. I opted for a replacement of the whole motor and belt drive. He also commented favorably on the installation of the door (a different company) stating that it was excellent, professional work. And a very fair price for everything which he completed in less than an hour! Amazing and much appreciated.
