I paid an $85 service fee for a promt, friendly technician to give me an outrageous estimate of over $1,200 to repair a garage door opener that originally cost me under $200. What a rip off scam. Unbelievable waste of my time and money!! I couldn't be more disappointed.

Before you call this company do your research of what it takes to repair the issue with your garage door. Youtube is a great resource. You will be surprised how easy it is to do if you have the proper tools. We had a broken spring which turned into a $1,500 quote to replace several components of a garage door on a house that was 5 years old. You can buy a new set of Springs for about $130 on Amazon and it takes about 30 minutes to change them. After we declined all the extra items to repair it was still going to be $700 to change the springs. We called another company and they changed the springs and new cables for $450. Precision tries to sell you on the lifetime warranty. Frankly how long are you really going to live at your home. In addition the place that charged us $450 gave us a 5 year warranty. Precision charge us $85 for a service call and it was basically an estimate of a bunch of work that did not need to be done. Most places do free estimates. We paid our $85 and called the other company and still saved a ton of money. Don't waste your money on this company. Do your research!!

Not sure that is the exact date. Had my garage door serviced. Ever since I had it serviced the garage is acting funky and I keep having to play with the sensors. When I called the first time, they said it hadn’t been 30 days so they couldn’t help me. Meanwhile my garage door was open and I couldn’t shut it. I won’t call them again.

The installer was bot able to set up my garage keypad , he should've tried calling in for instructions but didn't , every other installer I used in the past was able to set it up with no problems. He just said that he didn't know to do it.

I saw Precision’s ad on TV many times. So, when my garage door malfunctioned with broken spring, I reached out to them. Was able to schedule a visit in few hours like a breeze. The tech was very nice. But to my surprise- he said the spring cannot be replaced. He tried to say that no company can replace this spring and I have to convert my garage door system to a new system for $1500. That didn’t sound right! He tried hard to convince me and sell his quote but I declined. I still had to pay him $85 for service visit just to hear his dishonest opinion. Later I called another company and they quoted $350 to replace my garage door springs and fixed it like a charm! Precision's approach of giving dishonest advice to sell their product is really alarming. On top of that they took the $85 service fee for their dishonest sales pitch. Don’t be fooled by the nice precision TV ads.

Ripoff company that grossly overcharges for poor quality work. I have no clue how they are so highly rated on here, but I regret choosing them. Our garage door broke, so Precision came out and repaired it to the tune of around $600. The price seemed excessive, but I figured it was worth it if the job was well done. That was not the case. Around a year later it broke again, so we had a technician from a different company (a small family business) come out to repair it for a fraction of what Precision charged. He explained that Precision's technician had done sloppy work and installed parts incorrectly, e.g. using old screws and old holes instead of using new screws and drilling new holes. He said a part that was incorrectly installed by Precision further damaged our door. I took a picture of the part (which was obviously damaged and warped) and sent it to Precision. I explained the situation and requested a partial refund for the poor work done by their company, especially since we had to pay someone else to fix their mistakes. After some back-and-forth, a service manager, Bret, came out to look at our door. He basically told my husband, "Tough luck, your door broke again because it's old and will need replacing soon anyway." No apology, no refund, no nothing. Just because our door is older doesn't mean we should have to pay $600 for work that doesn't hold up. You'd think a large company like this, which is large enough to advertise on TV, would at least throw us a bone to make up for their shoddy work. I hardly ever leave negative reviews, but we had a very poor experience with Precision. Very disappointed - will not use this company again. Run far away from this ripoff outfit and find a smaller, trustworthy business who stands by their work instead; save yourself money and hassle by avoiding Precision.

Called and specifically asked for a quote over the phone. Had exact size and color of the springs i needed to repair the door. Was told they could give me a quote but then just ignored me tried to schedule someone to come out at a $85 service fee. Rude customer service over the phone.

Called the morning of May 9th 2023 and asked the female receptionist if they could replace a garage door and she said, “no.” Asked if I had the right number and she said, “yes.” Asked why she was only giving me rude, unprofessional one word responses and she continued to be rude and inconsiderate and pushed thousands of dollars out the door. I just completed a bathroom remodel, wanted to complete this home project with a new garage door. Won’t be doing it with them thanks to the person answering their phones and ensuring customers take their business elsewhere. I would not have a person like that welcoming new customers to my business or place of service a day longer.

I would strongly advise anyone from using Precision to stay far away. My wife recently contacted them for a repair job and we could sense they were possibly trying to take advantage of us. The company tried to charge us almost double the reasonable price for the repair. Quoted us a minimum of $600 to have two torsion springs replaced and installed. Not to mention the $85 service charge which is waived if you end up doing business with them. But they charge you if you don’t. They were here for 5 mins, gave a ridiculous quote, made $85. It's clear that this company prioritizes squeezing every last dollar out of their customers over providing honest, fair service. They are preying on those who are less informed about garage doors and should be ashamed of their unethical business practices. We ended up calling a reputable company who actually gave a rough estimate over the phone to fix the issue, and they charged us a fraction of what this company was trying to extort from us. If you value your time, money, and sanity, I implore you to steer clear of this unscrupulous garage door repair company. They do not deserve your business.

Called because garage door came off the track. Appointment booked in a timely manner. I was not going to be home, but my wife was. I was told there’s an $85 trip fee which would be waived once service was determined and that I would be notified of charge. After 30 mins, the tech completed the fix. I was not notified, but my wife was. She was handed a $400 bill (mind you, no new parts or anything were installed). When I got home hours later, I attempted to open garage door and it failed to open completely and again came off the track. I called back and tech came back out. He “fixed” it again and I was told if I really wanted to make sure this doesn’t happen again I could have them put on new rollers for added cost of course. Bottom line, this place is a RIP OFF. I recommend calling other places that will honestly and upfront tell you the costs. STAY AWAY.

They came out to look at my garage door and charged me a service fee just to come out and said it would be waived if we proceeded like they were giving me a discount or something!! Then proceeded to tell me I needed this and that on a 5 year old garage door and the price of the springs was double anyone else trying to say they have special springs and cables they are all the same!! When they told me the price I said no way it was over $1100 for replacing springs?? I called a different place who has been in business longer and great reviews that don’t try to rip you off ! And for garage door springs and cables and new Rollers my price was less than half of the 1100 precision garage door tried to charge me!! I would like them to refund my money because that is crazy what they tried to charge me!!! So feel free to contact me precision garage as I am waiting on a manager to return my call!!!

I had a terrible experience with precision. Not only were they extremely expensive, but they also did not properly fix the issue with my garage door. I had to call another company to come in and correct the problem, which ended up costing me even more money. The technician was clearly had no idea what he was doing. I would never recommend this company to anyone and would suggest looking for a more reliable and reasonably priced alternative.

ZERO, if I could give a rating of ZERO I would, the tech did the work he was supposed to do but in leaving he broke the garage door in my third stall. When I called in about having a tech come out to fix the door they broke they wanted me to pay a service charge and if any parts/labor was needed I would need to pay for that. I sent an email about what happened and no response. I would call around to other garage door repair companies and not use this one.

The lady who took my call and scheduled the appointment was not even close to the bid when the technician arrived. I even said so worst case it would cost this amount and she said yes. It was almost three times the cost. Turns out she quoted me one spring and the cheapest spring. I asked if they would need to replace both she said no. My technician said he would only do both. Then I was stuck paying $85 service call for them to do nothing or three times the initial quoted cost. I would shop around and choose a company that does not lie to you to get the technician out there. Or plan on whatever they quote you it will be triple the cost.

I’ve been working with a sales rep since early June…. He’s been out to the property 3 times and I couldn’t have made it more clear on a new garage door I wanted. I went through the options with him on the website and all… he kept telling me “my manger is working on a quote for you”….. he came back a month later and STILL DIDN’T A QUOTE. He needed to come back out to verify what I wanted for the 4th time and said his manager should get me the quote soon…. This seems to be a company that just points fingers and blames others for lack of accountability. If you want to work with someone for 4-5 months and still not have a quote and make no progress beside waste you time… then go for it with this company… I can only imagine the service you would receive if you call them for a simple service… stay away at all costs.

It says they serve new Richmond and surrounding areas but I guess Star Prairie, which is only five minutes north of New Richmond, is not considered Western Wisconsin. Should maybe change that name to “precision garage doors of Hudson and New Richmond”.

I called them on Tuesday and they came out Wednesday and they sent the wrong person one for replacing the door not to fix it. He said we can have someone come out Thursday. Will he came out and did not have the right springs but said it could take up yo 1 month to get the right one in. My door won't open because my spring is broken. I told him I will call him later so he said you have to pay $75.00 now for me coming out and the coast would be over $750.00 for the springs. I called North Country and he was out In one hr. Had the right springs on his truck he fix my door and put the heavy duty spring on and only charged me $350.00.

Inexperienced and poorly trained. The service provided did not meet my expectations. The technician spent about 50% of the service call on his cell phone planning a fishing trip for the next day - which I found to be totally unacceptable!

A plow truck hit our garage trapping our car inside. The door needed to be removed so we could get our car out and a new one installed after the garage was repaired. This company refused to come out because according to the girl on the phone Deja, they would only do so if we were installing a new door, which obviously can’t be done until the garage is fixed. Three days later and we’re still trying to get our car out.

I called Precision Door Service given on your site you stressed the fact that fixing a door can be done rather than a full replacement. When the technician got here, the response was the gear is sheered off so the entire garage door opener needs to be replaced. No consideration to even fix the opener was presented. The cost of replacing the opener was quoted at $500 dollars which is ridiculous. And I get charged $75 for the technicians to show up and give me this proposal. I've since purchased the replacement parts for the opener at a cost of $27 and will fix it myself.

The person that repaired our garage door was great. Friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. When it came to price. He was there less than 30 minutes. They have a flat fee of $210. Then supplies. It was a bit expensive. To quote another garage door repair person I talked to, sadly after the fact. “You got Screwed!”
