After our garage door refused to lift, we detected a broken spring and a wheel that had jumped the track. A quick call was made to Precision Garage Door (who we have used before). They offered an appointment time for the next morning, first thing. That morning I received a text at 8:10am that the technician was on his way. Upon arrival, Gregg inspected the entire door and tracks. The inspection revealed that part of the track had worked itself loose, the wheels on our 10+ year old door were rusting and worn out, and of course the spring was shot. Gregg provided an estimate on the spot and, after approval, completed all the work in about an hour. The door is now quiet and operating perfectly. Gregg was professional and a skilled technician. It was a pleasure working with him and Precision Garage Door. When garage door service is needed, they are and will continue be our first call.

I will start off by saying Jameson was great! He is the tech that came out to my initial problem. Probably one of the most thorough customer service representatives I’ve ever had. He informed me that I needed a new bottom panel on my garage and that someone would be in contact with me to quote the panel and installation. He left and my main garage is now out of service. That was on a Sunday. Never heard from anyone that week. I had called other places for quotes while I waited for precision to call me back because I figured it would be expensive. Friday I called to get an update and the representative on the phone, Miley I believe, said she missed it and readily admitted that it was her fault. The door has a 5-6 week lead time. I asked if there would be any compensation since they now added another week onto the install for my main two stall garage which I can’t use. She simply said no and couldn’t understand why they should compensate me. She said she didn’t understand because they still would have to install it and ship it?!?!?! Her reasoning made no sense. She didn’t even contact someone higher up to explain what happened for permission to compensate, she just simply said no. I told her if they weren’t willing to work with me that I would have to go to another company and she was ok with that. This is my first and last time I will be using precision door. If your near Scott county, I would try Action Overhead Door. I’m not saying the company as a whole is bad, but the way this was handled without even an apology or any consideration of making it better was horrible customer service.

Chuck showed up on time, and while checking things over he explained issues and offered explanations and solutions.. Among the reasons for being there was the garage door opener which he replaced; in hind sight, there was no discussion about the type of opener we wanted which we should have done. In the end, we have a new setup that works very smoothly and quietly, and all should be well for several years to come.

I've used Precision Garage three times over the last couple of years and each time I've been very satisfied. I was able to get an appointment as soon as the next day, even on a Saturday morning, with no extra charge. The technicians have all been knowledgeable, professional, personable and timely. They thoroughly explained all options available (and pros/cons) without pressuring for any particular decision. Each time the work was completed in an efficient manner with clean-up and removal of old or damaged materials. I will continue to call them if or when needed in the future.

This was our first time calling the company for a service request. Our experience with Precision Door MN team and services was great. They placed our service in the schedule.
