Precision Garage Door Twin Cities was at my house within 60 minutes of my call. The technician (Chad M.) was friendly and knowledgeable. He made an assessment of my three garage doors, told me what he recommended, told me what he thought could wait until later, and provided estimates for both. After I approved the work, Chad went straight to work and had everything completed within an hour. Given Chad's honesty, his lack of pressure, and the quality of the work, I would do business with Precision Garage Door again.

Paul did an excellent job fixing the broken spring on my garage door. He kept me updated on his arrival time and when the first set of springs he put on didn't work quite right, Paul made sure to make it right by removing them and installing a heavier set of springs. I will use Precision again if I have any other problems with my garage doors.

I had a spring break on my door on a Sunday, did some research and choose Precision. Saw they had a chat on the website, so thought would get more information. 5 minutes later I had an appointment for the next morning at 8:00 am. We had a misunderstanding about the quote for the springs that were replaced and my phone call was returned the next day. They had already reviewed my concerns and were ready to listen to me. After a short conversation we arrived at a very reasonable compromise and my invoice was adjusted. This is the kind of customer-centric service more businesses should learn from. I had a garage door emergency as my door broke at 4pm on a week day. No problem, Precision had tech Jonathan Zwart to my house within a couple of hours. Jonathan is AMAZING. He assessed the damage and educated me on everything garage door related. Within 2 hours he had the door back to working condition. Summary: Great technician. Great installation. Poor pricing clarity. Very overpriced parts. The technician, Colton, was excellent. He did a great a job with the installation, and was very helpful walking me through each step of the repair he was going to perform. His original quote on the springs I needed was one size too small, so the final bill was $14 more than he quoted; not a big deal there, though. 5-star service from him overall. I am deducting one star for the presentation of the pricing model from the company, however. When I called to get an idea of what they charge, they said "there's a $75 installation fee, but this is waived with the repair." While this is technically true, they charge a $65 "lube and tune" fee, which wasn't mentioned on the phone. They charged another $36 for a small bearing, which also wasn't mentioned on the phone. No one likes unexpected charges, especially when things are presented with the illusion of "no installation fee." I am deducting one more star for the price of their parts. The springs I got are rated at 15,000 cycles, and cost me $205 each. Had I ordered the same sized springs from somewhere like Lowes or Home Depot, they cost about $45 each. I assumed there would be some price markup to offset their "free installation," but 4x markup is extreme. Especially considering they charged me for installation in a roundabout way anyway. Overall I would say my experience was "just okay." I acknowledge that the job was done well, but next time I'll probably shop around for someone with more competitive prices.

I called Precision Door Service given on your site you stressed the fact that fixing a door can be done rather than a full replacement. When the technician got here, the response was the gear is sheered off so the entire garage door opener needs to be replaced. No consideration to even fix the opener was presented. The cost of replacing the opener was quoted at $500 dollars which is ridiculous. And I get charged $75 for the technicians to show up and give me this proposal. I've since purchased the replacement parts for the opener at a cost of $27 and will fix it myself.
