Avoid these guys at all cost. Their receptionist is completely clueless at providing estimates. I got a quote for $210 to replace a garage door spring. When asked if that's for a 2 car garage door, the receptionist gave some vague answer like "it's our high cycle spring". Tech comes over provides an estimate for $970!!! Even if the receptionist had stated $210 PER SPRING. $420 is not even 50% of $970. These guys are just fishing for their $80 tech service fee. Worst home repair experience I've endured. Go to any other vendor tons of other trust worthy businesses out there that value their craftsmanship and word.

Be careful, they came quickly to replace a spring on my garage door which was great. The one spring was about $350 dollars installed and the serviceperson was quick and competent and friendly. HOWEVER, serviceperson tried to upsell me to a total bill of over $1300 for additional services. Perhaps, one could justify replacing the second spring but even so....an additional list of services required for another $600-700. This garage door is not ancient, its 7 years old. One of the listed charges was for oil and tune up...really? So you would charge me $700 to replace two springs but not oil up the system while you were there. Nickel and dime shop. Taking advantage of those who don't know better.

Your technician, James Magaard, came to my house yesterday to look at my garage door opener, which was malfunctioning. Not only did James diagnose and fix the problem, he went above and beyond, inspecting the garage door, rails, and track. He even straightened out one of the rails, and greased the track, so the door would open and shut with less noise. James was informative and friendly. A total pro! I heard about Precision Garage Door on the Garage Logic podcast, and would whole-heartedly endorse them!

I called Precision because they are an advertiser on the Garage Logic podcast. My 18'X8' doors' cable came off the jackshaft pulley on one side and the door was in danger of coming loose completely. I called precision at about 10:30 on Saturday morning and by 1:30 that same day, my technician Brian came to my house to get me fixed up. Prior to his arrival, I received a text from Brian / Precision with his picture on it, that was a nice touch. Brian was an awesome technician (and a GL'er) and took care of a decently long list of some minor and some not so minor issues I had with my door and opener. I have been a construction project manager for 36 years and know good service and capable people when I see them, and Precision has it all going on! I highly recommend Precision, you do get what you pay for. Erik Mahin.

This is the second time I've needed these guys this year because my garage door decided to break in stages. I called the night the spring broke and the cables came off, and I had an appointment for the next morning, regardless of the 8 inch snowstorm. Alex reviewed the damage, gave me an estimate, replaced the spring, some brackets (optional, but starting to rust and get nasty so I said yes) and the cables. The whole thing took about an hour. Alex was very nice, thorough, efficient. The operation is quieter as well. Very happy with Precision Garage Door.
